18 whopping weeks!!!

We are nearing the halfway mark and I can't believe it. I'm actually getting to the point now that I almost want things to slow down a bit because I'm really loving the whole pregnancy thing. It's more fun to get dressed now because I have a new curvy figure, I don't worry that my belly looks "fat" in something, and I have tons of new/borrowed clothes to choose from.

Speaking of my new figure, here's what we're looking like this week. It's crazy how much Gil is already showing!

I went with a more forward view of the tummy this week to capture what is going on with my belly button. It's always been a serious innie, but we're working on popping out soon I think. And I'm starting to have some major curvature around the bottom of my belly which is super fun to put my hands on. I feel like I'm holding my baby!

We've got the big anatomy scan tomorrow (minus the genital anatomy portion) which I'm getting freaked out about now. I've been excited, but now the crazy-girl worry has set in and I feel like I'll be getting little sleep tonight. Are Gil's kidneys doing okay, is the heart normal, are the brain ventricles developing right??? I even had a fear that there wouldn't be a heartbeat even though I listen every day.

So, I'll post pictures tomorrow when we get home and let you know how it went. Thanks for all the votes so far on the baby's gender. It's pretty much tied up, so I guess you guys aren't quite sure!!! This will make it lots of fun!

    I totally felt nervous before our scan too, so you're not crazy (or we're crazy together)! Just think though, you're totally growing which is also a great sign! I'll say a prayer for you!

    I like that you said you ALMOST want things to slow down a bit :) Your belly is super cute, and I am sure your scan with be just fine!

    Good luck at the scan tomorrow. I'm sure the info will be nothing but reassuring that your little one is healthy and vibrant! Mine is still 3 weeks away!!!

    OMG. Your bump is adorable!!

    Are you guys not finding out the sex??? We aren't either (and I thought we might be the only people on the blogs to not be!!)

    Your scan will go just fine! I am sure little Gil is perfect!!!

    I think its a girl by how high your bump is.
    I love the pic. Thanks for posting, you look just adorable with your bump. And I totally know what you mean about how fun it is to have that new figure and clothes and everyone that see's you adores the bump. Its the best.

The post I have been waiting 2 years to write is finally here and I can't really believe it. On Saturday, I woke up at 8:30 a.m. with BAD contractions. By the 2nd one, I knew I was in "real" labor. They were SO different than the braxton-hicks. I got out of bed and decided that I'd take a bath, until water ran down both legs. The pain after that got pretty unbearable immediately and I was having contractions every 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. So, I called Aaron at work to tell him it was "the big day". I'm Going to Let You in on a Little Secret

My dear blog readers, Those of you who know me well know that I do not keep secrets. It's actually physically impossible for me to keep a secret. So, it's going to really surprise many of you to find out that I've been staying silent about something pretty big. It has been WAY too long since I’ve posted here and I’m eager to rejoin the blogging world!!!  The kids are 5 and 7 and super fun, I’m working at a medspa doing injectables and lasers full time and I’m 14 years in to marriage now.   But here’s where life has now lead me!  I have been driven to do a medical mission trip over the past few weeks and I’m very set on Haiti.  Yes, they are currently having a temper tantrum over the increased fuel prices which they definitely can’t afford, but that country needs help!!!!!   So, I’m here to tell my story of how this all goes!  I’ll need lots of prayers and support in this crazy endeavor!
