17 weeks

Wow, I cannot believe I'm 17 weeks. I know I say this every single week and you're getting tired of hearing it. But every single week is an accomplishment I never thought I'd reach. I remember reading blogs where the girl was 17 weeks and thinking how impressive that seemed. And I'm there.

7 weeks until viability. Seems like an eternity, but things are going so fast these days that it's really just around the corner.

My specialist's office called today to say that the 2nd part of my "triple screen" looked great too. What a relief. Now, we just have our Level 2 scan next Wednesday and I'll be feeling much better.

No movement yet that I am willing to definitively call "movement". There's some strange feelings at times but I'm known to be a little gassy, so I keep blaming that. Plus, I'm consuming massive quanitites of mexican food due to this little bambino's cravings. So, who knows?

Wow, I sure do love this baby.

    Woo-hoo for 17 weeks!!! :) Very exciting stuff...and so well deserved :) Our little one would have been born this August, too :( But hopefully this year I'll be able to have a "17 weeks" post too! Thanks for your support on my blog! Are you finding out the sex?

    Yayy! Congrats on hitting 17 weeks. It's funny...I am reading your blog and saying the same thing "wow...she is so far along...what an accomplishment!"

    That's so cool you guys!! I knew what i was feeling was movement when i felt it while watching her move at my 20 week scan. Good proof. Bill says do not watch the scan when they get ANYWHERE near the nether regions. He says you're both in medicine and you'll know! he was able to tell before the ultrasonographer. I think it's interesting your page has gone very brown and blue tho!!

The post I have been waiting 2 years to write is finally here and I can't really believe it. On Saturday, I woke up at 8:30 a.m. with BAD contractions. By the 2nd one, I knew I was in "real" labor. They were SO different than the braxton-hicks. I got out of bed and decided that I'd take a bath, until water ran down both legs. The pain after that got pretty unbearable immediately and I was having contractions every 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. So, I called Aaron at work to tell him it was "the big day". He decided I was kidding until I nearly leapt through the phone to wring his neck. :) We got to the hospital an hour later and I was dilated to a 4 and having very active contractions. I'm Going to Let You in on a Little Secret

My dear blog readers, Those of you who know me well know that I do not keep secrets. It's actually physically impossible for me to keep a secret. So, it's going to really surprise many of you to find out that I've been staying silent about something pretty big. It has been WAY too long since I’ve posted here and I’m eager to rejoin the blogging world!!!  The kids are 5 and 7 and super fun, I’m working at a medspa doing injectables and lasers full time and I’m 14 years in to marriage now.   But here’s where life has now lead me!  I have been driven to do a medical mission trip over the past few weeks and I’m very set on Haiti.  Yes, they are currently having a temper tantrum over the increased fuel prices which they definitely can’t afford, but that country needs help!!!!!   So, I’m here to tell my story of how this all goes!  I’ll need lots of prayers and support in this crazy endeavor!
