Bling, bling...

Work went really well for our 1st week.  Paisley worked a full-time week with me at the clinic and she did fantastic!  She loves the dogs and cats that come in, and even squeals at them frequently.  The clients love meeting her and she gets lots of compliments and attention all day.  This is her passed out on her play mat in my office.
Exhausting being this adorable!
I've been working with our accountant to learn to do all of the bookkeeping which is somewhat terrifying because I don't think I want to spend the rest of my life in prison due to tax evasion if I screw things up.  But I seem to be catching on pretty quickly even though accounting is foreign to me!  My biology degree is not helping so much with this...  :)
Another example of my poor photography skills...

Today, we pierced Paisley's ears!  My mom, Aaron and I were at the mall and we just decided to go ahead and get it done.  I had already decided that it would be for the best to get them done when she's young and won't remember.  Mine were done when I was 6 months old and it didn't seem to scar me for life or anything.  :)  So, we did it.  And it was SO not bad at all.  She didn't mind them cleaning her ears or marking the dots at all.  What she did mind was me having to restrain her so they could pierce them.  But she got over it really quickly and then enjoyed the rest of her trip to the mall.  And she looks adorable!!!

  1. I LOVE the cat hat!!! Adorable, as always. :)

  2. So glad the working girls are settling in! I always am amazed seeing babies "passed out" like that, because my little guy refuses to do that. He still requires us to swaddle and rock him before he'll go to sleep, and that's after he has cued us that he is tired with some pretty nasty crying. I venture to say he would NOT be able to go to work like your little one! And I LOVE the earrings. I still haven't decided when I want to get our little girl's done, but I know I want them cute!

  3. Oh my, the earrings are beautiful! She looks so girlie! Glad to hear all is going well!

  4. I haven't gotten the chance to comment lately but I can just say that Paisley is about as cute as they come.
I just love her little pierced ears. :)

  5. Awww she is so beautiful! Love the pretty earrings!

  6. What a fun place for a kid to hang out during the day - with lots of animals! And she certainly does look adorable.

  7. I was just thinking about writing a post on "to pierce or not to pierce". I always thought I'd get it done right away, but now I can't bear the thought of puncturing those perfect lobes. She looks adorable though!! Ugh, I'm so torn.

  8. I love the little pierced ears! If we have a girl, I totally want to pierce her ears while she's really little, too!

  9. Your pictures are adorable and Paisley is absolutely precious! I love her newly pierced ears. Good luck with the bookkeeping thing!
